Staff Psychiatrist
Elizabeth Joseph, DO, is an osteopathic physician who specializes in psychiatric care. She graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and joined the Brattleboro Retreat directly after her residency in 2009. Dr Joseph has remained an active and vital member of the medical staff for over 15 years.
Dr. Joseph initially focused her expertise on the dual diagnosis unit, contributing seven years to patients with complex needs. She's also lent her skills to various programs within the Retreat, including Birches, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs), and the LGBTQ program.
For the past six years, Dr. Joseph has specialized in caring for individuals with chronic mental illness.
