Sarah Kocz, MA, LCMHC, LADC, R-DMT, RYT works across the lifespan with children, teens, and adults. She holds master's degrees in Dance/Movement Therapy, Drama Therapy, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Antioch University New England, 2012) and Theatre Arts/Acting through a Fulbright Fellowship.
Sarah's training focused on trauma, addiction, and the integration of verbal counseling with somatic and experiential approaches to psychotherapy in individual and group work. She has trained intensively in Psychodrama, Sociodrama, and Group Psychotherapy.
She is also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with a focus on resource building, affect regulation, attachment repair, and trauma processing.
Prior to joining the Anna Marsh Clinic, Sarah served for many years as the lead behavioral medicine therapist with the Retreat's Mind Body Pain Management Clinic.
Her work integrates verbal therapy, somatic and experiential methods, play, and mind-body practices to promote awareness, compassion, self-regulation, resiliency, and self-efficacy, utilizing the mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
