Julie Potter is currently the Assistant Program Director at NFI Vermont’s Hospital Diversion Program South, a crisis stabilization unit serving Vermont adolescents experiencing mental health crises. A lifelong resident of the Brattleboro area, Julie has deep and varied roots in southern Vermont and works hard to support local individuals and communities through collaboration and connection.
Having experienced firsthand the complexities of the mental health system of care for a loved one, Julie brings both her personal and professional experiences to the field. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies in Mental Health Administration from Northern Vermont University, Julie also serves on the Board of the Vermont Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health, and has testified before the Vermont legislature, advocating for Vermont’s youth and families impacted by mental illness.
She lives with her husband and their two daughters in Brattleboro.
