Jessica is the clinical lead for the Health Care Professionals and First Responders program. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo – SUNY (2022), where she previously completed a Master’s Degree in Education (2020). She also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Anthropology from SUNY Empire State College (2013) and SUNY Potsdam (2008).
Jessica provides individual therapy to adults across the lifespan. Her clinical interests and experiences include working with those struggling with adjustment and phase of life challenges, interpersonal or relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, mood concerns, grief and loss, self-concept and identity development, and general coping skills in both individual and group settings. Jessica utilizes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy emphasizing the therapeutic relationship while incorporating evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and positive psychology, tailored to the client’s specific needs.
Jessica's clinical training has provided her with a breadth of experiences working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds facing a wide range of concerns. She completed her pre-doctoral practicum training in settings across Western New York including University at Buffalo Counseling Services, Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Crisis Services of Buffalo, and the State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. Jessica completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship here at the Brattleboro Retreat providing therapeutic services in the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs and Anna Marsh Clinic.
